Somebody please clear this up for me. Vancouver road conditions are very wet and there is a heavy rain. Puddles and mist splashing everywhere. I drive cautious during these times but a lot of people do not. In fact people act invincible. Why is that? Is is because people are driving tanks?

Understand one thing. If you crash, you might die. In fact, some or all of your passengers may die. Worse, you may mame or kill somebody else. Is driving with the pedal to the metal that important? People essentially throw caution to the wind. Pehaps I’m bitter because I can’t drive in the HOV and keep my family safe. People act as if this is the fast lane. It isn’t. It’s the SAFE lane, or it is supposed to be.

Vancouver traffic isn’t the issue. The issue is people waking up to the reality of what they are doing. You are driving a vehicle. It can crash. You can kill or be killed. I just suggest that you park your car on the side of the highway, get out, and stand on the side of the highway. Watch the cars passing you. Intimidated? Seems like cars move faster when you take a moment and see them when you are standing still. Now put in your minds eye, one of those vehicles having to stop suddenly. How far down the road do you think that would take them? Yeah, that probably is you driving that fast down the road without considering the remote possiblitity that something unplanned might occur on the road ahead of you. Go ahead, be another statistic but please don’t take out me or my family in the process. Thanks for you consideration although I’m talking to the wind.

Your best option? Leave your home at 5am and you will avoid the Vancouver traffic congestion. Imagine how bad this is going to be. Translink is saying they will increase service. So what? Can the buses fly over the lineups to get over the 2 other bridges. No. Therefore I would suggest getting really sick this month. Either that or view Vancouver traffic cameras before deciding your driving strategy. Sorry folks, it’s going to be ugly out there.

Driving in Vancouver BC sucks right? The grind of commuting gets to you just like everyone else. Vancouver traffic cameras are the best way to deal with stress and anger when you are driving around Vancouver lower mainland.

Think of it this way. Before getting into your vehicle, you could actually watch and see the lineups. Use that knowledge for deciding on a time to leave your home. No rush. Why? Well you would already know what bridge and traffic lineups that will be there to greet you. It’s just about better planning.
